Pramac has unveiled the livery for Toprak Razgatlioglu's highly anticipated MotoGP debut in 2026. This move marks a significant moment in the team's history, as they become the first MotoGP team to reveal their 2026 colors. The Italian racing outfit made headlines last year when they announced the signing of Toprak Razgatlioglu, a triple World Superbike champion, to bring him into the premier class of motorcycle racing. The Turkish superstar has long been linked with a move to grand prix racing, and his age and the factory support Pramac offers made 2026 the perfect time for the switch. Following his third World Superbike title win, Toprak took part in several private tests on the Yamaha, making his public debut in the post-season Valencia test in November. However, due to contractual obligations with BMW, he rode a blank Yamaha without sponsorship at the time. On January 13th, he made his public debut in the MotoGP colors he will race in, helping to unveil Pramac's 2026 livery at its launch event in Siena. Toprak was joined by his teammate Jack Miller, as the pair prepare to head to Sepang at the end of the month for the shakedown and the first pre-season test. The 2026 season is a pivotal one for Yamaha, as they transition from their traditional inline-four bike to a V4 design. The Japanese brand announced in 2024 that they were developing a V4 project, with the bike making its debut with test rider Augusto Fernandez at the San Marino Grand Prix. The V4 has since completed three wildcards with Fernandez at Misano, Sepang, and Valencia, though Yamaha has yet to unleash the full power of the V4. The bike is seen as Yamaha's last chance to convince 2021 world champion Fabio Quartararo to stay with the brand beyond 2026. However, with Yamaha admitting that most of 2026 will be about developing the bike rather than chasing results, they face an uphill battle to retain Quartararo. Pramac's team launch marks the beginning of the livery reveal season, with VR46 hosting their launch on Wednesday, followed by Aprilia on Thursday. Ducati, Yamaha, and Trackhouse will follow on January 19th and 21st, respectively. KTM and Tech3 will host a joint event on January 27th, with Gresini closing out the launch events in Malaysia on January 31st. Honda and LCR will stage their launch events on February 1st and 2nd, respectively. The Sepang shakedown takes place from January 29th to 31st, open to test riders, rookies, and concession rank D manufacturers (Yamaha). The first official test at Sepang will run from February 3rd to 5th, with the second test at Buriram scheduled for February 21st and 22nd. This is a pivotal moment for the sport, and fans are eagerly awaiting to see how Toprak and Yamaha fare in their new venture.
