Kentucky has secured Brandon Roberts, the former Assistant Athletics Director and Director of Olympic Sports Performance at South Florida, as its new Director of Football Sports Performance. This isn’t just another hire—it’s a statement. Roberts brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of developing elite athletes, and his addition signals Kentucky’s ambition to compete at the highest level.

When Stein transitioned to high school coaching, Roberts stayed with Strong, eventually landing at South Florida, where he rose from associate head strength coach to Assistant Athletics Director in 2020. Now, he’s bringing that wealth of experience to Lexington, where he’ll collaborate with another former Louisville staffer, Joe Miday, in the strength and conditioning program.
